چکیده

The new Atomki-V2 ?-nucleus potential is applied to calculate astrophysical reaction rates NA??v? of intermediate mass and heavy target nuclei from iron (Z=26) up bismuth (Z=83). Overall, ?-induced reactions are provided for 4359 nuclei, covering as well neutron-deficient extremely neutron-rich the proton neutron dripline. Contrary previous rate compilations, these calculations include all relevant exit channels with dominating (?, xn) nuclei.

Indirect methods for astrophysical reaction rates

Capture reactions can be a technical challenge in the energy region of astrophysical interest. Alternative experimental techniques were developed making use of beams available at higher energies. Although they have been widely applied, these indirect methods have long called for theoretical validation. In this work we discuss the use of transfer and breakup reactions as astrophysical tools. We ...

Relevant energy ranges for astrophysical reaction rates

Effective energy windows (Gamow windows) of astrophysical reaction rates for (p,γ), (p,n), (p,α), (α,γ), (α,n), (α,p), (n,γ), (n,p), and (n,α) on targets with 10 ≤ Z ≤ 83 from protonto neutrondripline are calculated using theoretical cross sections. It is shown that widely used approximation formulae for the relevant energy ranges are not valid for a large number of reactions relevant to hydros...

Calculations of Nuclear Reactions of Astrophysical Interest Involving Unstable Nuclei

Nuclear reactions involving unstable nuclei play an important role in nucleosyn-thesis. Such reactions are mainly associated with explosive astrophysical scenarios occurring at the nal stages of stellar evolution. For many nuclear reactions involving unstable nuclei the direct reaction mechanism cannot be neglected and may even be the dominant reaction mechanism. For example, the direct{reactio...

Nuclear Reactions of Astrophysical Interest Involving Light Nuclei

An introduction to nucleosynthesis, the creation of the elements in the big bang, in interstellar matter and in stars is given. The two–step process He(2n,γ)He and the reverse photodisintegration He(γ,2n)He involving the halo nucleus He could be of importance in the α–process in type–II supernovae. The reaction rates for the above processes are calculated using three–body methods and show an en...
